THE TALENT YOU WANT
D&AD Shift with Google is our award-winning night school program designed to equip and empower self-taught creative talent. Shift stimulates creativity, inspiring and enabling students to do their best creative work.
Shift also challenges the industry to look beyond universities and portfolio schools for creative talent. Our students came in with raw talent and have spent the last five months sharpening their skills under the guidance of D&AD, and some of the best creatives in the industry. Their experience includes producing client work under pressure, and successfully pitching to Diageo, Spotify, and Airbnb.
To date, three-quarters of Shifters who graduate through the program occupy top positions within our industry.

Christina Jones
Hello, I'm Christina Jones. I was introduced to the world of advertising through modeling. Starting as a full-time model, I traveled the world, worked with exceptional brands, and fell in love with conceptual art direction, primarily using film and photography. When creating ideas, I adhere to my mantra, "Be Audacious," reminding myself that the best ideas come from pushing the envelope and having a wow factor. I aim to engage a diverse audience and incorporate nods to social justice causes and non-profits in my work. Transitioning from being a muse to an artist allows me to see both sides of the picture, and I'm grateful to continue serving the art community in this new role.
A storyteller, wordsmith, performer, theatre kid, writer, and gifted spoken word poet; the quintessential idealist and romantic. The world is a place of beauty and magic in my eyes. Where others see facts and figures, I see symbolism, metaphors, and hidden meanings. My intuition, heart center, & vivid imagination together fuel my creative inspiration. Like a flower, I bring a breath of fresh air, beauty, and uplifting energy anywhere I am watered. Who doesn’t need flowers?

I bleed Brooklyn. Okay, maybe not literally, but this city's relentless energy pumps through my veins. As a native New Yorker, I'm wired to see beauty in the chaos. I don't just take pictures, I translate the language most don’t speak into visuals that resonate.
I am a visual artist and content strategist based in downtown Brooklyn, New York. With a background in media production, I excel in art direction, intentionally selecting color schemes, props, and concepts to craft thought-provoking digital stories. Notably, my work has been published in 360 Magazine and Prestige Magazine by Westin Hotel. While my expertise shines in professional photography, I also produce social content for digital platforms. I’m passionate about serving others and bringing their visions to life through media production, and creative strategy. Beyond my professional achievements, I am driven by a genuine desire to uplift and inspire through my artistry.

I’m the architect of my destiny and a design maestro. Having scoured the four corners of the earth, I turn my colorful experiences into delightful insights as a strategist. Embracing the mantra 'little man, big dreams,'
I carry that energy into every team I work with when creative directing. When I'm not strategizing my next creative endeavor, I’m probably lost somewhere in the virtual world or continuing to hone my culinary skills in preparation for the next family holiday, where I can only hope to do better than Grandma's cooking.
Whaddaya say? I mean to know about me is to feel a renewal of life, a void filled, to be looked at and not seen and a hand to hold when needed most. I am silent most times probably thinking of what superpower would be cool to have. Flying or teleportation, or something cringe I did I wish I can change. But when I do speak it is through the love language of filmmaking. Get to know me and stick around, I've been told my approachability is 10/10, my door is always open just knock a little louder.

I merge the realms of artistry and strategic thinking to breathe life into projects for companies, clients, and collaborators across diverse industries. From conceptualizing stunning visual artworks to untangling complex business dilemmas, I thrive on the fusion of creativity and pragmatism.
First, thanks D&AD. I'm Kev Clarke, If its creative please invite me. I love everything art. I make music, I make clothes, I started a podcast where I interview creatives, I take photos, I dance, I write quotes that hopefully inspire people, I've written over 100 skits that I hope to produce in the near future. I've been to Dubai, Amsterdam and London. I hope to go to Japan this year.

A Virginia escapee, my lens found a home in NYC capturing unseen stories. I translate raw moments into visual narratives for underrepresented communities. My artistic compass spins between videography and photography, with production and strategy fueling my vision. D&AD's Shift program ignited my creative superpower, and I'm ready to unleash it on the world.

Raised in bookstores by Wizards, Dragons, and Mad Scientists, I've been writing since I learned how. When not being evicted from Starbucks, you can find me jotting down ideas in a Moleskine under the Golden Arches. I believe life’s luxuries come from paper, and when I'm not crafting copy, I'm filming dunks. Writing is my birthright and copywriting is my passion.
Born and raised in New York City. A self-taught graphic designer, web developer, and music producer dedicated to merging timeless aesthetics with modern functionality. Passionate about human-computer interaction, exploring how historical insights can shape future innovations. Known for strong critical thinking and adept at trend forecasting. A Brooklyn native with deep Jamaican roots, I'm a creative problem solver who simplifies complexity. I naturally keep a positive attitude even in the most stressful situations. I have the United States Marine Corps to thank for that little gem. I've worked on all sides of production, even started a company (Vanso Visual Imaging). I’m Super big on being a passionate team player.
I am a visionary producer pioneering brand strategy and creativity. Like a Neo-Dada latte, I embody duality, merging fluidity with structure. With a superpower for detecting gaps and fostering synergy, I craft award-winning projects resonating deeply with audiences, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. Our Shifters spent weeks working on exciting and challenging briefs from three partner brands.
They had to think about how to identify a culture space for Smirnoff ICE SMASH to play within, create an experience that brings to life the Seedlip brand, and assist Spotify in helping emerging artists build a real fanbase.

Identify a culture space that SMASH can authentically play within that generates a big impact and buzz.

Shifters were challenged to find a cultural space that is mutually beneficial for both SMASH and THEIR community via shared values around boldness, the bringing of unexpected things together, exploration, discovery, and deliciously daring experiences.

Gen Z is digitally native, so they tell their stories online, so that’s exactly where we’re going to meet them. Corner stories are more than just drunk stories, they are ways for Gen Z to make connections around the world. The Bodega is their space and these stories make it so. Welcome to the true third space, with unlimited possibilities.
A third space is more than a place, it’s a state of mind.
IDEA
Corner Stories aims to blend storytelling with drinking, marking a shift from drinking to make a story to having a drink because of the story. Embracing the "farm to table" concept, we will blend classic deli staples with a modern twist, seamlessly pairing fresh food and drink to elevate the senses.
Welcome to the world of Smirnoff Smash, where every interaction is a story waiting to unfold - leaving you with a sense of newness and nostalgia.

Gen Z is the middle child smashed between two generations.
IDEA
SMASH will create blended experiences that appeal to Gen Z.
EXECUTION
We will create an immersive three level day-to-night barnyard, bringing art tech and culture to the classic rodeo.
LEVEL ONE - ART
SMASHers will express their wild side, coloring their world using unconventional methods.
LEVEL TWO - TECH
Attendees can ride a mechanical horse paired with a VR headset and ride for as long as possible.
LEVEL THREE - NIGHTLIFE
Guests will participate in a mixology session hosted by a SMASHtender and mix & match SMASH elements to replicate existing SMASH flavors, or create their own unique mixtures.

Seedlip
BRING AWARENESS AND DRIVE CRAVE APPEAL TO THE SEEDLIP BRAND AND ITS DRINKS.
IN PARTNERSHIP WITH
As more consumers look to create a more balanced, mindful lifestyle, some are exploring moderating their alcohol intake, and non-alcoholic products provide them with a great way to achieve that. However, awareness and visibility of non-alcoholic products are currently low.
Shifters were tasked with creating an experience that brings to life the Seedlip brand, demystifies ‘non-alcoholic spirits’, and demonstrates how Seedlip can become a craveable addition to people’s drinking repertoire.

Turning natural ingredients into supernatural experiences.
EXECUTION
Seed Your Own Adventure is a campaign that targets high foot-traffic in cultural spaces where play and exploration are inherent. Interactive installations, like the sensory gardens and mixology workshops encourage interaction and educate attendees about Seedlip’s unique distillation process and botanical essences.
This campaign is meant to drive liquid to lips and enhance visibility through memorable experiences.

Millennials need an exciting reason to get out of their comfort zones. They tend to go into alternative drinking experiences with a comparative mindset making them miss out on unique experiences.
IDEA
Create an experiential idea that takes consumers from the expected into the unexpected.
EXECUTION
We wanted to create an immersive multisensory experience using the theme of surrealism to elevate Seedlip’s unique position. A whimsical, otherworldly space where they have no choice but to get out of their comfort zones. From a blind-tasting experience, creative mixology, and our surrealist surroundings, we really wanted to leave space for people to experience Seedlip in a larger-than-life way.
We want Millennials to kill their preconceived notions about Seedlip in comparison to other non-alc brands and experience it as the surreal powerhouse it is. #ASipOfTheSurreal

HOW CAN SPOTIFY HELP EMERGING ARTISTS BUILD A REAL FANBASE?

As the largest streaming platform, Spotify is on a mission to empower emerging artists and creators within the world of audio.
It’s easier than ever for artists to get their music to fans, but it’s become increasingly difficult for them to break through the noise and capture fans’ intrigue beyond a single song. While the platform has transformed the lives of countless artists, there are still many emerging ARTISTS who are struggling to build real genuine fandom.
Targeting Gen Z music fans, Shifters were challenged to create a campaign that helps emerging artists build a more engaged fanbase.

INSIGHT
EXECUTION
We will partner with local cafes, shops, and stores in communities around the world to host intimate events featuring emerging artists. This will create a unique and familiar atmosphere for fans, fostering a sense of shared experience and community.
We will further deepen these connections by developing an interactive map accessible through the Spotify app that will showcase upcoming Deep Cut events in various locations, highlighting the featured artists and providing easy access for interested Gen Z fans.
These deeper connections create a sense of value and shared passion, fostering lifelong fans and strengthening Spotify's position as the launchpad for the next generation of music stars.
Gen Z craves authentic, personal connections beyond the digital world. They seek immersive music experiences that transcend passive listening and impersonal concerts, leaving them wanting more than just fleeting interactions. This presents a challenge for emerging artists who struggle to convert Gen Z into dedicated, long-term fans.

Classified: Secret Shows nurtures Gen Z’s connection to emerging artists. By leveraging Spotify listening data we connect rising stars with potential superfans. Fans score exclusive invites, limited-edition merch, and plus-one options, creating a buzz-worthy experience that impacts culture and helps Gen Z go beyond one and done streams.

Imagine an interactive show where fans discover new artists and witness underground performances. This exclusive experience leverages the power of artist discovery with the excitement of secret shows, all happening within the same platform.

Real-time fan reactions and shoutouts are displayed on-screen during the live show, encouraging viewers to engage with one another on social media platforms.

THE softspot
A dedicated space where fans can delve into the lyrical heat of a song. The audience grabs something soft and gets comfy. The guest artist takes a seat in the center of the audience and begins a conversational performance in which they perform raw, stripped down version of their songs. Audience members participate in lyrical interpretations alongside the artists, dissecting the meaning behind favorite songs.
Personal interaction and emotional connection is the driving force behind a successful Gen Z fanbase.

“The Spot”, the media hub for connecting the future fan to the future icon.

RADAR Live
Where the audience co-hosts the show. Fans are randomly chosen to ask questions directly to the artist in rapid-fire style. The artist has to answer as many questions as they can within a specific time frame.

IDEA
Wander, a curated traveler’s guide that focuses on connection, safety and accessibility. An app built for the people, by the people.
EXECUTION
An AI chatbot that makes travel books that suggest recommendations and experiences.
Visual Spot for TikTok - The idea is to maximize the theme of living vicariously through other travellers’ experiences with the Wander book in an attempt to minimize Gen Z’s loneliness, inspiring them to make their own adventures.
Influencer Campaign - Leverage the excitement of choosing your own adventure to showcase Airbnb’s new AI travel book feature. Influencers will share their in-person adventures with friends and encourage others to grab their personalized travel guide from Wander.
Users will choose a unique Airbnb stay and related activities based on their recommendations from their “AI bestie” wander.

IDEA
Wander, a curated traveler’s guide that focuses on connection, safety and accessibility. An app built for the people, by the people.
EXECUTION
We will use the Airbnb app to create a map where their users can see what fun things are going on in that town from the local's point of view.
Intended to provide tourists with an authentic adventure and create connections through fun communal experiences. The user-generated content will be provided by locals, hosts & previous travellers. Ultimately bringing Airbnb to the forefront of the minds of people seeking to have a good time and form strong bonds through socializing. Gen Z wants to have a good time, but they've been having trouble finding where to go. This feature will provide them with “the where & the when."

Experiences bridge gaps…
IDEA
Airbnb Footprint is an innovative AI trip advisor aimed at leveraging the personal interests of the user profile to create highly personalized and engaging travel experiences.
By using data insights from social media and tailored questionnaires, Airbnb will craft unique travel itineraries that resonate with the interests, passions, and aspirations of the individual, encouraging genuine connections and experiences.
EXECUTION
Gen Z travellers update their Airbnb profile with questions catered to understanding their preference for travelling partners, environments, and experiences, and have the option to integrate data collected from their social media profiles.
AI will sort this data to generate a specific traveller archetype which will get matched with experiences that appeal to their assigned archetype and match them with travelers of the same travel personality.

Shift now extends beyond the initial four-month night school with additional on-the-job learning and specialised pathways through Shift Select. Shift Studio activates our Shift alumni, bringing new creative perspectives, lived experiences and authentic approaches to tackling real business and societal challenges for clients.
Launching later this year, we will be bringing the Shift experience online. Unlocking creative potential all over the world, Shift Campus
will allow anyone, anywhere to access an introduction to the creative industry.
